EMPLOYEE COMMUTE CARBON CALCULATOR
We have set up a free-to-use calculator where you can see how much your organisation can save in terms of carbon emissions from increasing the proportion of staff travelling to work by a means other than car on their own.

Simply type in the number of staff who work for you, and adjust the figures to see how much carbon you can save per year. If you currently have 75% of employees (or trips) arriving by car, see what happens when you reduce this down.

An organisation could save up to 2.5 tonnes of carbon a year for every 5 staff who leave their car at home everyday - or by getting 25 people to travel differently once a week.

  • Figures are based on average travel distances for Somerset and provide a general guide only, based on all staff being in full time employment and taking an average number of days off per year, with an average CO2 figure used for the different modes of transport.
